Wouldn't it be nice that the cloud storage service you sign up for allows you to share backed up files such as photos, music, videos, documents, or more with your family, friends, or coworkers? They don't need to install any special programs or sign up for a backup account. All they need is a web browser and Internet connection to view your shared files or folders.
Most cloud storage market leaders allow you to share your files by sending email, posting to social network, or sending a link. You can share any file (even big ones) or folder (e.g. large folder with hundreds of photos) without worrying about the size limits for email attachments anymore!
Some cloud storage providers take sharing a step even further and allow you to share a music or video which can be streamed directly from their servers. This is a very nice way to share as recipients can view music or video you shared online without having to download to their hard drive.
Most cloud storage providers today allow you to share files or folders, but some don't. If file sharing is an important feature for you, check out our feature comparison of cloud stroage providers to ensure the provider you are signing up for offers file sharing feature.
